staff team
If you come to visit us, the first person you meet might be from our staff team. Or you may be welcomed by a member of our church family.
Our church family reflects the cosmopolitan character of London. We mainly live within a few miles of St Luke's.
church staff
Alistair Tresidder (minister)
Alistair has been our vicar for over ten years. Prior to St Luke’s, he was a curate at St Anne’s, Limehouse and studied at Cranmer Hall in Durham. He is married to Sheena and they have five children, three chickens and other animals. Now in his 40s, he has started to wear cardigans.
Dan Wells (assistant minister)
Dan is our assistant minister, who is responsible for our evening congregation, looking after the midweek growth groups, helping Alistair with the overall life of the church and generally making a nuisance of himself. Dan is married to Louise, plays golf very badly and believes fervently that the Denver Broncos will once again win the Superbowl.
Matt Dew-Jones (youth and student worker)
Matt is in charge of the youth and student work at St Luke's. He has recently married Mary who also helps out with the youth and student work. They met in Durham while at university and whilst on a training course at a church there. Matt thinks the best days revolve around playing sport and watching sport. He tries to keep 'down with the kids', but as far as we can tell is failing miserably.
Nick Vagg-Williams (ministry apprentice)
Nick is an apprentice and mainly helps with kid's clubs, student work, and some practical upkeep. On his days off, for relaxing, he enjoys a bit of sewing whilst his wife, Lucy, does the DIY.
Claire Wilkins (ministry apprentice)
Claire is a ministry apprentice and is involved with many aspects of church life which means she needs to be a good multi-tasker. Being a woman, she feels up to the challenge. She used to be an auctioneer and therefore likes the sound of her own voice.
